Andy was our second rescue at Critical Care for Animal Angels. I found his struggling to walk down Pio Nono Avenue in Macon. People were just driving by him. I noticed his leg was broken as I picked him up and put him in my truck. He was also covered in dog bites. We could have pinned his break in his leg but he had a prior break that was not treated and could not be fixed. Poor Andy lost his leg but it has not slowed him down a bit. Andy was adopted the day his stiches came out. He has a wonderful home in Warner Robins, Georgia and his sweet and fun nature has blossomed.
In the Critical Care for Animal Angels photo essay.

This series is such an eye opener....many of us go on with our lives and forget what is happening out there.

Andy has such soulful, beautiful eyes.. and it behooves me that people could ignore his suffering that way, but it happens more often than not. I am so happy he has been adopted! We used to get cats dropped off at our place when I was a girl and since then all of my pets have been rescues. I wouldn`t have it any other way.. they are the neediest and they make the most loving, wonderful companions!

A sad story, but fortunately it ended well.
Too many animals end their life on the edge of the road, abandoned by all...
The world has become too numb...
Thanks for this story Regenia, your heart and great. -

Andy was fortunate you were there. It is such a sad story, but glad it ended well.
