The soul's windows...
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

This man works in an Army facility in Kabul, Afghanistan as a cleaner where he receives no salary, just food and gifts. In the 1980s he was an officer in the Afghan Army who fought the Russians. He was captured, held, and tortured horrifically. As a result of his agonies he is deaf. I always noted that he had such soft eyes and a gentle demeanour for someone who had suffered beyond comprehension at the hands of other human beings. It amazes me that he holds no grudge, bears no malice and has no self pity for the horrors he endured. His soul, truly, is a gentle forgiving one that is often glimpsed through his kind, smiling eyes.
