In Short:
At age 51 he decided to turn the camera on himself. He’d been in his little studio taking hundreds of self portraits, trying to get the shot right/right shot. And, to my knowledge, he doesn’t know the guy in the photos. He shot a self portrait a year ago and, after looking at the photo, asked himself, “Who is that guy?” His camera keeps every capture and when he opens the file, to review the photo, he is there. He looks old and grey. His eyes are a bit droopy. He looks a bit worn to me, like he’s done stuff and been places I don’t know or can’t imagine. I’m not afraid of him but, his skin has changed, his jet black hair is turning white. His bright eyes are a bit dimmer and covered by glasses, He moves in a different way. I think I like him, hell, I probably love him. I embrace him because I know he will kiss life on the mouth, hug life, and invite life in for a good meal, banter and a great time!
