I received a call late one evening about a starving dog that had been shot thru the neck. Could I please help her? I drove out to Gray, Georgia and picked her up and rushed her to my vet. We had another Critical Care for Animal Angels patient. Not only was this girl starved and shot thru the neck, but she had been used for fighting bait and was heartworm positive. She is going to be fine. She is so loving and kind. We got all her shots done and now she is with a wonderful foster gaining weight and getting ready to start heart worm treatment and get spayed. I took this picture of Frances today. Two weeks after I received that awful call and she is doing much better.
If you would like to help animals in need, contact your local pound and ask them to refer you to a rescue group. They need donations, fosters, people to walk the dogs, clean cat boxes, feed the animals...there are so many ways you can help.
