Doth the plowman open and break the clods of his ground? Isaiah 28: 24
Denver, one of my husband's older brother's passed away yesterday at age 79 and I shot this photo of him in 1989...Denver was a bachelor and a bit of a loner... He didn't get on very many family photographs, but I remember he liked this picture in particular, that I gave him a copy of years ago...Farming was a part of him and what he best loved to do. I think I caught the essence of who he was in this candid that I shot with a cheaply priced point and shoot film Yashica camera that I had bought that year... The sea gulls were flying in abundance that day in the plowed field and I felt compelled to shoot this peaceful scene.
The print is getting old and faded and had to work with it in photoshop to deepen the tones. I had the 11x14 print behind glass in a frame and I used my digital camera to shoot a picture of the picture so it is not of the sharpest quality.
