Waramaug Lake is located on the shores of the Litchfield Country Connecticut towns of Washington, Kent, and Warren. Although a natural lake, the surface elevation of Lake Waramaug has been permanently raised by an inconspicuous concrete and masonry dam. Lake Waramaug has a surface area of approximately 680 acres, a maximum depth of 40 feet with an average depth of 22 feet, and is the repository of almost five billion gallons of water! Lake Waramaug is fed by Lake Waramaug Brook, also known as Sucker Brook, a number of small streams, and groundwater that percolates up through the lake bottom.
