My grandfather was a voracious reader. These two pages don't even include all the books he read in February, 1974. On the next page, he lists most of Steinbeck's oeuvre. He used to sit at the kitchen table smoking a cigar, reading for hours, often past midnight.

Very interesting to see the titles he read. Like that he reviewed them. Was he a WW2 Vet?

Thanks Lynn and Peter! Joe, he was in the military at one point, but in between wars. He was born at the turn of the last century and was in his late thirties, married, and had a family when WWII began.
