Ganvié is a lake village in Benin, lying in Lake Nokoué, near Cotonou, Benin. Although inhabitants of this region are usually hostile to being photographed, this young girl was very collaborative and happy to see herself in the picture. Her eyes and her smile irradiate light, innocence and the purity of child.
