I have been thinking about doing a series of photographs on small- town newspapers. I recently visited with Mr. Montgomery. His wife, daughter-in-law and two sons all work for the Register which serves Purcell, a town of about 6,000 residents. I was impressed that the whole family could make a living and work together harmoniously at a single job. They also own two or three other small papers in other communities.
