After 43 years of cooking the traditional family Christmas pudding, from my mother's recipe, I have now been replaced! With the greatest of pleasure I present my successor's most wonderful offering. My son has begun another tradition and from now it is will be 'Nigella's' eight hour Festive Delight which we will all eat. Boy! this was the yummiest ever! With custard and cream accompaniments it just tasted divine! Mark brought it to the table lit up and burning as Vodka is poured over and set alight.
Mark cooked it for five hours in Wellington after soaking the fruit in brandy for 3 days, then another three hours of cooking....MMMmmmm! Sorry... none left.

WOW!! Very impressive indeed. We had some great pudding in London last year, but not as pretty as this.

It looks simply delicious. For some reason my children don't like Christmas pudding any more so I don't make it, but I love it!!! I hope that your Christmas was really special!!!
