A Chickadee was cold
But stood still to enfold
The warmth of the sun!
At only 10 degrees,
Winter is not done..
With more ice to freeze.
This bird took action
To get satisfaction
By the light of the sun...

These little guys usually flit back and forth on the feeder filling their body with sunflower seeds ... I was surprised to see this brave soul on the stand this afternoon gazing off into space, not eating for a change but taking pleasure in the sun warming his little body for 5 minutes...
