When I saw this downy woodpecker all fluffed and frosted up this morning I went to check the thermometer and it read -38C which is pretty well 38 below zero F, too. Either way, it`s too cold for man, beast or bird.. so I warmed up the suet block in the microwave and he quickly went for it.
