Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm....Isaiah 51: 9
My husband and I have so far power walked 527 miles.. 3 miles a day, since July 9th, 2012, for exercise. My New Years Resolution is to keep on walking and to also keep my arms toned with 3 lb weights which I am doing on this self portrait. My goal is to power walk 1000 miles in 2013.
There are many Senior Citizens my age who are afflicted with bad knees and hips ...I will be 70 years old in September of 2013 and God willing I hope to stay healthy.
I have been on a 1200 to 1400 calorie diet since July and am eating more fresh vegetables,
fruits, grains and legumes and less meat. No processed foods..I have cut way back on sodium for instance we bake our own bread with no sodium in it. Besides eating much more healthily, our grocery bill has also gone down since we eat less meat and no processed foods.
