I bought this fancy dress after Christmas at one of my favorite thrift shops. Unbelievably, the dress was marked down to two dollars, and I love it! It had been hanging on the dress racks for quite awhile and because it is meant to be worn for warmer weather it got marked down. I snatched it up in a hurry and for that price I didn't try it on until after I got home.. Decided to do a self portrait by my late mother's lamp...

Thank you everyone for your comments.....Susan, the truth of the matter,our house is very old and deteriorating.. .The dressing table and bench that you see on the photo I bought at a new and used thrift shop for $15 many years ago....The shag carpet is old and was given to us long ago from my late parents when they bought a new carpet to replace it. The table lamp I inherited from my late mother. I put the wall paper up to cover the cracked plaster on the wall:)) Thank you anyway for your sweet observation...it warms my heart...We live simply..
