A few minutes ago I found this email that I just received. What joy. Of course I remember you Amit ! It was May 2007 when we met. I walked up the street in Vadodara with my huge backpack from where the Maharashtra-Gujarat overnight bus dropped me. There was a hand pushed cart selling shirts with embroidered Hindu symbols. I found a shirt and then crossed the street and had a chat with Amit at his book stall. I clearly remember, because to my amazement, he pulled out this magazine in Gujarati that featured Hebrew writing on it's cover background. It was about the Israeli Mosad, while I came to find inspiration from Indian. People just like Amit. About 30 minutes, 7 years back. Just wrote him back. And thinking... no need to hold our breath. We keep living in each other's minds. The world has it's timing to serve us with what we need.
