Q: How do you take a long exposure picture with people?

A: Do you know?

The female house sparrow stands guard at the tiny birdhouse window, keeping all intruders from snatching her eggs. This little house was intended for bluebirds! They are nesting unusually early this year, perhaps due to warmer weather recently.
Update Jan. 31: The sparrows made no nests at all!

She means business! All the birds here at home are fighting over the houses, and this behavior usually doesn't happen until spring. CRAZY Tn. weather! Great shot.

I guess the house sparrows cannot identify a bluebird house! The sparrows around here have taken over our Purple Martin houses. We put up gourd houses for the Purple Martins and then we haven't seen any since we put them up a couple of years ago.
