Canon 50D; Canon 100-400; ISO 1250; 285mm; f9; SS 1/1000th second

This male and the pride were feasting on a wildebeest they had just killed when a clan of hyenas happened by. The pride male didn't take a liking to the clan being so close and let them know.

I had my settings anticipating early morning low light and with wildlife one usually gets about 5 seconds to react. Normally I would have opened up the lens to 5.6 so as to reduce the ISO - but things happen quickly in the bush.
