Dixie has often reminded me of Sandy, who was Little Orphan Annie`s dog in the comic strip that ended in 2010, after a run of 85 years. The dog I remember seeing in the comic strip was a grey colour with long hair, like Dixie. A very typical pose of her, coming to a grinding halt in the snow that she loves. She`s a total ham in front of the camera :)
