A story to share with you.
I perceived a lady hitchhiking on the side of the road, looking for places to let work my imagination. Her appearance (yes, it could be seen as a "prejudice") was rather disadvantaged, and I wanted to share this moment and to learn about this woman.
So she explained me that she had to go to Coleraine, a little town 20 minutes driving from there. That she waited for 2 hours in the cold, that nobody had taken her. His hands were blue, she was a little bit repetitive, as if at the same time, she was a little drunk, but I do not believe that it was the case. She asked me if she could smoke inside of my car, I accepted by lowering my window. Then she says to me that his hands were freezing. I increased the heating, then the discussion begins. His name is Micheline, she was going to her sister's with whom, of what I was understading, she had a bad relation.
She told me his life. The 35 years she was living in Montreal, the 17 other years living around here, his 3 children, the time while she was working for sewing companies. Thanking me repeatedly, always calling me by my name, " Hey thank you Mathieu eh". She asked me if that disturbed me to leave her at her sister's house, I answered: "Of course not! That pleases me.". Then, she took my hand, still by thanking me, and she kisses it.
When I leaved her at her sister's house, she thanked me hundredth time and take me in her arms, the hands having thawed, the husband of her sister thanking me by a smile and with a profoundly human look, as well as this meeting.
It was on Wednesday.
