Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane...observe the time of their coming...Jeremiah 8: 7

I shot this photo of the sculptures, on Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis on March 17, 2011 ...My husband and I had not been to downtown Minneapolis for several years before that, and for us it was a new discovery that we had not seen before... I waited until the coast was clear, which is challenging, on a busy street where there are countless numbers of taxis, buses plus bike riders and pedestrians going by constantly, but got rewarded for my patience to get this very quick shot where there was nothing in the way...

Camera Model... Nikon D-40x
Focal length... 48 mm
F-Number... F/18
Exposure Time... 1/100 sec.

Great catch!!! These birds stop over near us for a rest before migrating toward Michigan. I remember that day! ☺

The Sandhill Cranes have some resting spots here to rest before going on south. This is a beautiful sculpture of the Sandhill Cranes and an excellent entry to the theme!

They`re awesome sculptures, and stand out beautifully against the background tones, an excellent capture and entry!

Thank you all for your comments and faves...Leslie...I think you meant you were glad I was not maimed while venturing to it..LOL...There was no danger, as the traffic was on the side of the building behind the sculpture..... it is required that cars are not allowed on that street but there is a designated parking ramp specifically for them...The traffic I am talking about are buses, and taxi the walkers and bikers who were passing by on the other side of the sculptures...It was a busy street but thankfully not on the side where I was standing...
