Place: Visitors dressing room, the old Checkerdome in St. Louis.
Time: Moments after the Winnipeg Jets were eliminated from the 1982 NHL playoffs by the St. Louis Blues.
Jets Captain Dave Christian (right) and Lucien DeBlois (I think) reflect on the loss of a shot at the Stanley Cup. Done exclusively for the Winnipeg Free press.
NOTE: Bailey Cooper says it looks like Norm Dupont, not DeBlois...I think she's correct.

In my 'Sports and Action' collection.
In my 'Photojournalism' collection.

In the NHL: Game On! photo essay.

Souful capture, especially of Lucien DeBlois, one shot and you can see it on both faces. A moment in time, captured beautifully.
