Thy light shall break forth as the morning and thine health shall spring forth speedily....Isaiah 58: 8
One of my favorite type of lighting in portraits is existing light for its naturalness...My husband was not aware that I was shooting his picture this morning and I was experimenting with the lighting to see what I could do without using flash.
He is a voracious reader and he was studying some recipes out of a low fat cookbook at the table...We are both into eating healthier and he is my inspiration as he keeps me motivated into not sliding back into bad habits.
One of the best DVD's on eating healthily that we looked at a few days ago entitled "Forks Over Knives" could save lives and reverse diseases. If you don't look at anything else this year, please check out that DVD....We requested it through our local library ...Believe me, It is an eye opener about the American Standard diet... it is promoted by doctors who have done a thorough research and have followed it their self for 25 years with good results on a whole foods plant- based diet. The DVD also features some of the patients who followed the diet religiously whose lives were turned around and their diseases were reversed.

Andrea ~ Check out the 'Forks Over Knives' website. After viewing the video, I purchased the 'Transition Package' and we are now totally plant-based. Everyone should watch this. The most eye opening for me was that animal proteins cause widespread inflammation, particularly vascular. Great natural portrait.

Thank you all for the comments...Yes, Bailey I totally agree..One of the best DVD's we have seen in a long time . the doctors who have done the research are now in their 70's and have spent years in the study of the plant based diet. A really good book to read on the same subject is written by one of the doctors who promoted the DVD...it is entitled "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease." by Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr. MD..It has 150 Great Tasting recipes. Good luck and thank you for your comment. Try out Jeff's oatmeal in this book... Great tasting and I was very impressed! ...
