Ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the birds of the air and they shall tell thee.Speak to the earth and it shall teach thee....Job 12: 7-8
We learn from the song bird
Who doesn't say a word.
But flies in frozen air...
And tries to adjust....
He leaves his presence there,
When he comes to us in trust
Expecting to be fed...
What more could be said?

Thank you for your comment...Oh yes...we sure do feed the song birds ...and the squirrels plus the chipmunks (when they come out of hibernation)..We give them sunflower seeds, dried corn and suet...As a matter of fact we have two feeders...We have been feeding the wildlife...birds and creatures since we moved to our hobby farm in 1973....We have had bitterly cold weather this winter and with feeding them it keep them from freezing to death..

Love this portrait of the Blue Jay. I am surprised that they are up north in the cold! Birds, squirrels and chipmunks know where to get food when no other is available, you are their friends.

I love that pose, the jays are such expressive, beautiful birds.. and they are tough, too! But they rely heavily on folks like you who take such great care in helping them through the cold spells.. beautiful shot!!
