I was floored as I was processing these. Pleased is an understatement. Each shot can change dramatically depending on the point of focus, blurring or revealing certain aspects of each. In this one, I picked notes over frog and ended with a shallow DOF in front and behind the bottom staff.
It's more than evident that that I was shooting it on the hall floor using the light from the bathroom window. The fuzzy doorway and hardwood add to this shot and I really like the focus fading out across the page.
A trick I used with this one to amp up sharpness without losing DOF was the PS filter 'high pass' (under 'other') , blending option 'overlay' and opacity of about 80.
