I was recently hired to shoot the Mas E Mas Esthetics portfolios. Anthony's spa does makeup, hair, and spa treatments and didn't want to use stock photography to promote himself. I asked for a test run to see what I could do because I know Fashion photography is a different game than is wedding photography, my bread and butter. As usual, I ended up taking the photos I wanted to take and hope the client likes them.
For this shot, the client wanted something more "fierce" and something that showed the shape of the hairdo. I asked Michelle to kick the chair, which gave me the side view I wanted, some action, and lots of "fierce". I even liked the look on the chair as it went flying; "Hey! What did I dooo?"

Yes, great shot! Just too bad the background wasn't better! Love the "interaction" between her leg and the chair.

Thank you! The warehouse's second floor are a bunch of studios used for art, dance, etc The hallway gave me the depth I wanted for this shot and the client needed the models to stay inside.
