If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

..He turned his back and God gave him another heart...I Samuel 10: 9
I used my old Nikkor 105 mm lens from off my Nikon FE2 film camera on this picture today as an experiment and put it on my digital Nikon D 40x camera and this was the result... Of course with a film lens on a digital camera the only mode it will let you record is on manual settings which I did with this image. I shot this through the old rolled window. I really think this bird is more handsome from the back than he is from the front..I love his feathers which I think forms a geometric pattern.
I used a shutter speed of 1/100 sec. with an aperture of F/ 5.6 and an ISO of 200...We have
the window feeder behind our kitchen sink and he was up close.
