We came for the temple inauguration celebrations.
This is the native village of my friend Mani's wife.
Her father has 3 wives, it was customary earlier in last century's Tamil culture.
It was quite entertaining, though somewhat confusing to hop from sleeping in her half sister mud house to eating in her fathers cement house with half and whole sisters and families living along the dirt road and around.
Stopping for Chai here and going for afternoon rest here, in her step mother house, with many grand children and cousins in all ages running and playing inside and out while the mothers were cooking in the outdoor kitchen hut.
near the old temple (where mysteriously Mr. Mani's chappals/flip-flops disappeared from the temple gate where he left them)
