Q: How do you take a long exposure picture with people?

A: Do you know?

This is a self portrait I took on November 2, 2012 after Hurricane Sandy knocked out power to half of Manhattan. I'm standing on Park Avenue and 30th Street with the camera on a tripod facing north. 13 second exposure, no flash, no Photoshop or filters. Headlights and ambient light were all that lit the scene. The power was on a few blocks farther north and you can see the MetLife Building through my body because I pushed the shutter and ran into the frame.
