Valloire, France, April 7th, 2013…

Le Grand Galibier is located in the Massif des Cerces, at the edge of both the departments of Savoy and High-Alps. It tops at 3229 meters and overhangs the famous Col du Galibier, one of the toughest Alpine cols in cycling history.

I definitely love the mountains! The nature is just beautiful, majestic and charming but can also be surprising, frightening, dangerous. It constantly reminds us that we, human beings, are not as powerful as we are used to think. And that, for sure, is a good lesson for any of us.
