Rasmalai is a rich Indian dessert made with small balls of paneer that are soaked in flavored, thickened milk. The word is a combination of the Urdu word ras, which stands for juice or nectar, and malai, which translates as cream. Thought to have originated in Odisha ( My Place of stay) in India, this dish is very popular in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. It has an interesting combination of flavors and textures, from the spongy soft paneer to the delicately flavored milk. Very similar to the Bengali sweet called rasgulla, it is served as a dessert at the end of a meal.

Red colour saffron in Rasmalai- In India saffron is produced in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in a town called Pampore. The Saffron produced in Kashmir is the world's best saffron. Kashmiri saffron is also known by other names like some call it Kashmiri saffron, some call it Kashmiri Kesar while people in south know it by the name of Kumkum. Saffron is the most precious spice in the world and has many uses. It is considered to be good for developing brains. The cost of saffron is $ 3-5 /gram.
