For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills....Psalm 50:10

The cattle upon a hillside

Like to graze higher there....

For awhile they'll abide

Rejuvenated in cool air...

Poetry by me AJP

We don't have mountains where we live but we do have lots of rolling hills. I shot this picture of the cattle on the hillside through the car window in September of 2008 as we were returning home from celebrating my birthday at a restaurant. I remember that I ordered a fish dinner. We stopped eating beef long ago:)

Earlier this spring on the way to town I saw some cattle on that same hillside but we couldn't stop the car just then and by the time we went back that direction they had already gone on the other side of the hill...but I was glad to find this picture for the challenge before it ends.

Thank you for the comments & faves. Sarah ,,,cows rolling down the hillside would make
a good picture but it would be phenomenal if they rolled up the hill with hoofs on skates:)
I am being silly today. I am sorry!

Humorous what Sarah said : ). It makes one wonder though, why do cattle not roll down the hillside. They must be very sure footed.

Ann, Maybe cows are sure footed because they have four big feet with cleats in their hoofs
    to dig into the ground....

They stand out so beautifully against the steep hillside here. A terrific capture and theme entry, Andrea!
