Q: It seems that there is a very narrow selection of images in VS. Why

A: Do you know?

It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and singing...Isaiah 35: 1

I am very happy that the pink roses I am standing next to that came with our property when we moved here in 1973 and planted by the former owners has been blooming every year.

This year the roses are late because of our severe winter...We planted 5 new rose bushes last summer and the cotton tail rabbits ate 3 and left us two:) One is just starting to bloom and the other one needs to be transplanted as the spot it is in now is too shady.

This morning it was hazy lighting when I woke up to do this self portrait. I wish I had remembered to cut the tag off of my skirt in back...I bought the skirt at a thrift shop before I lost weight and now it fits. I am trying to get used to my new hair color...I tinted my hair a few days ago but it got a little reddish tone (especially in front) where it grabbed more color) than I expected. Yes, that is all my hair...It has grown long but I find it is easier to take care of ...I had one extra curly home permanent in my life when I was 10 years old and hated it so badly I swore to never get another one:) I don't like frizzy hair and it took ages for that permanent to settle down:)

I love this self portrait, you look so natural with the flowers. I did not notice the tag on the back of your skirt. Your long hair looks so nice on you!

I love it!! And it is easy to get rid of the tag.... Now the hair.....I like it the way it is! But I have to say that the products of today are way more advanced, and it is possible to get "natural" looking waves these days!! I preform them almost daily, with not a bit of frizz. BUT, I have 28 years experience too!!

Thank you all so much for your comments...I agree with you Betty the perms in the beauty
shops are better now than the home perms of years ago..My mother put the perm in my
hair against her wishes as I had naturally curly hair back then but I thought since my older
sister had a perm I needed one too...I leave my hair the way it is now as I am content with
just the casual hair do. I used to be a beautician years ago when I was in my 20's and even had a managers license.. I applaud you Betty for hanging in there for 28 years...It is extremely difficult work standing on the legs for several hours a day...I got tired of it...One time I gave a perm to a lady who had head lice that no one else wanted to tackle. Not fun:)
I think the strong solution killed the lice but at the time I was not aware she had lice until
I was told about it later...I didn't see anything crawling but I felt buggy for days after that.
