In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. Doth not the ear try words and the mouth taste his food? Job 12: 10-11

A red squirrel has no doubt
He's receiving a free hand out
But has yet to hear the words
This feeder is meant for birds.

All creatures are living things,
Who share God's kingdom
Though squirrels have not wings
You might think they had some.

They will go almost anywhere
By flying through the air
With the greatest of ease...
They do as they please..
Poetry by me, AJP

This little guy flew from the hummingbird feeder stand that you can see on the right side
of the picture to the window feeder...(My hand is safely on the other side of the glass:)
However his flying skills this afternoon resulted in the bottom half of the hummingbird
container coming undone before he made it to the window feeder. He normally eats from
the bigger feeder that stands on a post but he's taken a liking to the window feeder
because the gray squirrels don't like to share with him..and the birds are kinder to him.
He is still shedding his winter coat and he is not as red this time of the year.

Thank you all for your comments...Michele, hopefully my hand gives the impression it is there
to catch this little guy if the twig breaks and he falls to the ground..LOL...However I am sure
if he did fall, he would land on his feet. The little stinker is very cute but can get feisty too....
which is why my hand is safely behind the glass,

I love the optical illusion here, what a great shot, Andrea! They`re such characters.. two of them hang out on the deck here, but they fight a lot and it gets very lively sometimes, lol.

What a great shot!!! It does look like your hand is ready to catch the little guy if he falls, but I was glad to read that your hand was safely behind the glass : )

I really love this creative and comical shot, Andrea! He is such a cute little fellow, and even though they do cause a little mischief from time to time it is well worth the laughs I've had watching their antics around our yard and in the woods. Great photo my friend!!!
