Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. Ecclesiastes 4:9

The bumble bee
Buzzes and hums
With responsibility
pollinating the delphiniums

The butterflies
Are now appearing
But are not interfering
with the bee of big size.
Poetry by me AJP

This big bumble bee has mostly been pollinating the delphiniums by itself outside of a few butterflies that are now showing up. They are later this year.

The bee is probably more aggressive because of the task at hand and several times flew
around my head in trying to steer me away but I finally got a shot of it in mid air. When it became feisty I just stood still and tried not to panic until it settled down:) The bee on the Marigold that I shot last year which I entered for the bee challenge was more gentle. This one is of a different species and it definitely was more challenging to capture..

I just realized there are 6 flower petals on the delphinium and with the bee makes 7 and will
enter this in the number 7 theme.
