Seattle Underground
When I was in Seattle, I took the underground tour, which was really fascinating. Turns out the city was originally built about 15 feet below it's current elevation and then the roads were re-poured higher several years after the downtown area was beginning to develop. So for one entire section of the city exists a whole world below the streets.
