Barcelona will start charging admission to Gaudi´s landmark Parc Guell as tourist numbers keep rising.

Access to the attraction will be limited to 800 people per day, in an attempt to protect a Unesco World Heritage site. It has now been open for over 100 years – which has also suffered the wear and tear of millions passing thru the park as well as attacks of vandalism in the past.

Visitors to Parc Guell seeking a reprive from the city and a few hours amid the curious sculptures and otherworldly flourishes of Barcelona’s famous Parc Guell will have to pay for that privilege.
