The Confrontation
“After a good dinner one can forgive anybody, even one's own relations”
Oscar Wilde
I found it just amazing when I watched this squirrel scramble up the tree. Then, he peeked around the trunk and watched this young Red-Tail Hawk eating you got it another squirrel.
Then when the squirrel ventured out on the limb, I wondered has this squirrel gone nuts. Perhaps, that was his his buddy squirrel that had a grave dinner invitation. I could hear the Hawk thinking come a little closer my friend.
The squirrel is a candidate for the Darwin Awards, if the hawk had not already almost finished his meal he would have certainly been on the hawk's dinner plate.

I wish the squirrel was darker so it wouldn't blend in as much with the background, but great work nonetheless!!

Truly a spilt-second interaction - I bet that did not last long.
