This is an old neg. from the 70's, John Bull lived in South Georgia. Was in his eighties, said he had a stroke at sixty and had "slowed down quite a bit". Best hand shake I was ever given. Was on my way to photograph a potter, who turned out to be so bland I didn't get a shot. Was still thinking about John Bull. I can count on one hand the people who I have photographed that have left such a strong impression. My wife and son were in our Van, waiting, I could not speak when I got back in the Van. Many tears later I bought such a house and lived in it for a couple of years, grew a great garden...mjb
