Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled....James 2: 16

It is very cold today with a raw wind chill and we are getting more birds to the feeder ...This male cardinal was trying to soak up the warmth of the sun while he stood on the edge of the feeder and ate his fill of sunflower seeds! I can relate to the chilled to the bone feeling as I am trying to get over the flu that I have had off and on since last Sunday.

Soaking up sun
Isn't always fun
E'en for the bold
And strong willed
If birds are cold...
Plus not filled!
Poetry by me, AJP

He's a real beauty. I like that you captured him with the seed in his mouth too. I feed our animals and birds twice a day in the cold, cold days of winter. I'm glad to know you do too, Andrea!
