In 2000 I had a basal cell tumor removed from my left cheek just to the side of my nose about half way up. He took about a teaspoon of flesh then separated the edge layers about 1" in with a metal tool so he could pull the edges together to suture. I was awake. When he got to the area over my nose the room started spinnin'. Looking at your wound, I have no idea how they were able to take enough tissue to clear the margins. The doc said that the tumor was from sun damage 30-40 years earlier. Time to pay the piper. Great entry.
