Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

I recently took a military training trip with my husband, taking some " me" time to capture some pictures in history filled Fort Smith, AK. When I ran across the National Cemetery, I felt a newfound honor that brought me to tears. As an Army wife myself, I noticed what was obviously wives. Yes, I "survived" 2 deployments with my husband but, these wives survived months and even years without even a letter from their loved ones, For every single soldier lost and survived along with their spouse I say thank you!
