As she thinketh in her heart so is she: Proverbs 23 7

Poor old Mrs. Sunflower
May have a broken heart
She has no get up and go
Or the will to even start...
Carrying a pack of snow
Of Which there is no lack
Upon her aching back!!!

Wearing her white bonnet
She bends down mighty low...
To sing a 14 line sonnet...
In her tearful song of woe...
Blasting the heavy snow....
Of which there is no lack
Upon her aching back!!!

Poetry by me AJP

We've had over a foot of snow from yesterday afternoon to add to the piles of snow that we already have ...and I think it snowed for most of the night. I couldn't help but get some comic relief when I saw this old sunflower in our yard today and just had to post it:)

Goodness me!!!! You're going to have snow in your yard until July!!! We have been blessed/cursed with much less snow this winter than normal, which we will come to regret this summer when water becomes scarce. This is an incredible photo......poor Mrs. Sunflower!!

Thank you everyone for your kind response...Poor "old Mrs. Sunflower" is completely covered
with snow now after my husband used the snow blower on our driveway and it blew on top of her yesterday afternoon...I am really glad that I shot a picture of it when I did earlier in the day..I love to find things like this in nature.
