While this photo is beautiful, I find it supremely disturbing. In fact it is so disturbing that if I were the subject of the photo I would ask that it be destroyed along with all existing copies.

Dont see what M Ronin see's. I have been photographing expectant moms for 30 years,never shot one in the bath tub. But will next year. Please don't ever destory a negative. I have 35,000 neg's and know every one of them . I lost six neg's in about 1981, and am still upset about it.mjb

Fantastic chiaroscuro. The mystery of dark and shadow brings out the mystery of conception and womb.
Her body is an abstract seascape but at the same time her face links to the personal. A personality connected to an ineffable mystery. The contrast between the personal and abstract in nude portraiture is an interesting twist.
