Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

This is the little one room school house where Dave went to school as a boy. It now sits on the grounds of the Village of Penobscot's Historical Society and is restored to it's orginal beauty. A no frills, but very nostalgic school where children were taught all the basics......and teachers were not afraid of repercussions for appropriately disciplining their young charges when they misbehaved. Shopping for school then usually meant getting a tablet of paper, some pencils, crayons, and a ruler. Clothes were many times "hand me downs" from an older brother and sister. Kids did not feel deprived in the least. They were happy and thankful for whatever they received!

A huge Oak Tree comes from a tiny Acorn. A good foundation is esential for a tall building, and I think this is the kind of place where it can begin.
