This shot was taken in Ireland where my mother was born and raised. It was a one room thatch roof stone home that my mother and her parents and four other siblings all were raised until her mother passed away at the age of forty of cancer. My mother left for America soon after and worked hard to send for the rest of her family to join her in America. It was too heartbreaking to stay for her. We visit many times throughout the years and every year it gradually disintegrates leaving not much left of the house they once called home. Now it is almost all deteriorated as the stone walls have fallen down but we can still stand in the small circle of stones where it remains in Ireland to this day still filling my mother's family with memories of childhood, happiness, and heartbreak.
