Caution! Wild Koala
I almost ran this little guy over while on a family drive along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. It was a good thing I had good brakes and the camera with me!
He had no problem at all posing for some photos... this particular photo was taken at only 55mm so he was almost sitting at my feet.
It's certainly a photo that I'm very proud of but all the time I was taking his picture all I could see through the view finder... was the claws!

Got to be carefull when a Koala gives you the "Blue Steel" pose. You know he's watching you out of the corner of his eye, ready to tear your legs to rags. Nice photo by the way. How many did you take of this model?

Chris, I took about 20 or so images before he got bored and wandered back into the bush... still, got more out of this model than many other's I've shot for longer. ~LOL~ -

What a fantastic shot. Other than the super cute subject matter, the composition as a whole and especially the trees framing the koala's head, is quite nice.
