On a recent guided photo walk in a nature park I spotted this unique tree that seems to be smiling. While the photo walk was fun, what we could find to photograph was on the sparse side, but we did find a few interesting things to photograph.

it is fun to spot those things in a tree...We have a dutchess apple tree over 100 years old on our property with some unusual formations.

The original smiley "face." I like this shot. At first glance, I saw a person with a very long neck, bending at the waist.

A very unique tree, I like how it straightened itself out after taking a bit of a right turn! A great find and capture.. and I like that smile!

This instantly reminded me of a grandson (age 5 at the time). We were all watching Pocahontas. She went to seek wisdom from her grandmother whose spirit resided in a big old stately tree. When she appeared in the tree and started speaking, Caleb turned around and said, "Her grandmother is a tree?" He was buyin' even one minute of that crap. Love the snap and the time travel.
