A window from inside Ajloun Castle in the country of Jordan in the Middle East, just a few miles South of the Syrian/Jordan Border. A beautiful ancient castle with outstanding architecture that shows the fantastic detail throughout the castle. From the top of the castle are views of Jordan and Syria.

As I stood on the top of the Castle starring out upon the land of two countries filled with history and shinning in the sun, suddenly a fighter plane from Syria flew directly above me back to Syria to continue the devastating violence to the people of that country.

It was a moment of reality and sadness in a beautiful place. I loved this window for the detail and beauty it allows those that visit to immerse themselves in for a moment despite the sadness just a few miles away at the countries border. Its symbolizes possibility, light, openness to me and it's an image I keep in my mind often.
