Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

I swung around by the pond on the evening that I got this shot and to my surprise there was a sudden burst of ducklings racing across the water. They were literally running across the water away from me as daddy duck kept commanding them to do. I don`t know who was more surprised.. but I managed to get this shot against the sunset reflections on the water. He was a brave fellow and stayed behind, keeping a close eye on me, while the babies crossed the pond.

Common Goldeneye adult male and six ducklings from this summer`s hatch..

A special Thank You for the spotlight, Davide! It is very appreciated!!
