Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? Ecclesiastes 3: 21

When Tippi jumped down
It meant she also climbed up
No laziness to be found
In this spirited pup.
Poetry by me AJP

Tippi was jumping off the lower platform stand of the road grader when I caught the action. Years ago when this road grader was horse drawn... I imagine it was easier and safer to stand on this platform than to climb up on the high seat to steer the wheels... If the driver got thrown off by spooked horses they wouldn't fall so far from the platform stand.:) (The seat was turned backward on the grader, most likely to have a clearer view for the person who was steering the wheels years ago standing on the platform.) It came with our property when we moved to the the country in 1973 and have always loved this old equipment for the way it was designed.

Tippi reminds me so much of my grandmother's dog, "Rags." Rags lived from 1936-53, and she was a wonderful farm dog and we are still talking about her.
